Choptank is once again going to participate in this year’s annual Relay for Life’s Womanless Beauty Pageant. Last year, Kenny Sewell was brave enough to be a woman for an evening in front of his fellow employees for a good cause!  This year, we will have two employees taking part in the festivities, Kenny will be back representing one of our customer’s teams and Clark Harrison will be representing the Cambridge Police Department’s team! Love those shoes, Kenny!

Named MD’s Family Owned Business of the Year for 2009, Choptank Transport will accept their award the morning of May 15th. Choptank, picked for their accomplishments, community contributions, and strong entrepreneurial spirit, learned of their success March 16, 2009. This is the second major accomplishment for Choptank this year, as they were recently named MD’s 2008 Small Business of the Year by the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

Choptank Transport attended Salisbury University’s annual Career Fair to recruit for both interns and employees. Over 100 vendors and 200 students attended the event, which is held bi-annually at the University. HR Manager, Pam Hutchinson, and Lead Generation Specialist Dan Green, who is also a recent SU Graduate,  represented Choptank Transport as they recruit for the second round of interns for the summer of 2009.
